We no longer have to struggle to move large rounds. It has no problems splitting thru rounds of any species. For boiler wood, it can make the perfect size pieces. For our firewood, we tend to split smaller so we will drop the pieces next to our smaller splitter. For the amount of wood we split each year with it, it has not let us down yet.
